"Pair Of Mirrors With Two Arms Of Light"
Pair of mirrors of sconces with two arms of light. The rocaille frame, in faience is in four parts that are referred to on a wooden board. A decor of broad acanthus leaves surrounds the mirror. A grotesque head at the base. The two arms of light are embedded in two rings of zinc. Daffodils, forget-me-nots, roses ... in bouquets decorate the perimeter in pastel colors. A frieze of gadroons surrounds the mirror. One of the mirrors has a signature on the back. (See photo) On the back an iron clip is nailed to the board. Electrification is to be reviewed. Restoration on an arm of light (see photos) Provenance: Italy, early 20th century. A delightful set for a romantic setting.
