Rare old painting, oil on canvas, dated / signed lower left Joachim Skovgaard 1877, on the back, representing two horses in a landscape. A leading Danish painter, this youthful work was made before the great tour he made in France (Leon Bonnat workshop then in Italy). Beautiful composition while perspective or the painter, despite a reduced format, managed to give space and depth to its composition. The peaceful charm of the Danish countryside is well represented.
