Bronze Torch Holder After The Antique. XIXth Century, Circa 1870.
Important bronze torch holder after the antique. The shaft supports a small pedestal on which was placed an oil lamp, decorated with a gilded bronze medallion depicting the Trojan shepherd Paris. Claw feet. These torch holders were more than a meter high and were very common in ancient Rome. Work of the nineteenth century, circa 1870. Very good state of conservation. Height: 135 cm.
