Very good condition, some restorations (see back)
Recognized portraitist, she made the portraits of many important people of the time. I did not success to identify the man represented on our painting. A stamp on the back of the frame gives us an indication of provenance from Bordeaux for the canvas. The very rich ornementation of the frame indicates a rich sponsor.
