Nine engravings representing marine mammals such as dolphins, whales, sperm whales, extract works of the Earl of Lacépède (1756-1825) Zoologist and French politician. Friend of Buffon, he publishes many richly illustrated books on animals to democratize their knowledge. These engravings after Oudart are engraved by Delarue and date from the late eighteenth - early nineteenth century.
