"Edouard Strauss"
Eduard Strauss is represented conducting his orchestra. He played at the same time on the violin. The author, a famous caricaturist of the late Austro-Hungarian Empire, depicted him in four different positions and added a bust portrait. These four attitudes create a movement that illustrates well the idea of the waltz and more particularly the agitated manner which directed this representative of the famous dynasty of the Strauss (Edouard is the brother of Johann Strauss which notably composed the waltz of the Beautiful blue Danube )
