17th Century Italian Cabinet - Florentin Work
Cabinet inlaid rosewood, natural tortoise shell, ivory and bone (solid ebony for drawer moldings).
It opens with 2 rows of 4 lateral drawers, with in the center a door in the form of capitals with detached columns revealing a large secret drawer.
Drawers bearing their original lock.
The whole is surmounted by a gallery openwork decorated with balusters, and rests on 4 blackened wooden skates.
