Provencal wardrobe with policeman hat carved and waxed walnut. It opens with two arched doors with double polychrome panels entrenched and pegged where run wide and deep moldings. The left door has a false frame. The lower cross is fretted, the upper crosses the curve of the cornice. The previous uprights are straight, rounded ending with small arched feet with volutes, raised gorges decreed sides with triple paneling deep molding. Very rare the inside is made in dresser, opening by five drawers two rows walnut fretwork with wrists of draw and entry of lock in hammered iron. The whole receives a generous decor of floral style called today "Arlesian". Wedding furniture par excellence, the work of sculpture is strongly focused, on the wishes lavished on the newlyweds. The burning sacred heart encircled with a double ring symbolizes the indestructible vows of eternal love as well as the arrows, the flowery vase from which spring flower stems symbolizes the fertility, the cords and rosaries for the bonds of marriage, the branches olive for loyalty and peace, oak acorns for prosperity; everything is there to the dips of fame; all giving to this piece of furniture all the exuberance of the decorative arts typical of Provence. A beautiful polished metal ornamentation of large hinges with laces, perforated hinges, wrists, entry and other keys and lock lobed rack end discretely to give this piece of furniture its nobility. It should be noted that the manufacture of the furniture belonged to the groom's family, the quality and the density of the sculptures demonstrated the power and the place in the society of lou novi. The fittings were the responsibility of the bride; the more they were gracious and generous, the more the dowry was beautiful. It was said then that the bride was well ironed. Provencal work of the second part of the eighteenth century, around 1770-1780. Observations: This very neat furniture is totally in its original state of the peg to his key. Dimensions: Height 261, Depths 62cm to the cornice, 58cm to the uprights, Widths 166 to the cornice, 145cm from one upright to another. Overflow of cornice of 10.5cm. Forged key: 15 cm
