Terracotta sculpture representing the bust of Antinous, after the antique. Work of the Tuscan manifacture DINI & CELLAI of the late nineteenth century. Excellent state of conservation. Height: 44cm X Width: 27cm X Depth: 16cm Antinous is a young man from Bithynia who lived in the 2nd century AD., better known as the favorite of the Roman emperor Hadrian. He dies at 20 years old, drowned in the Nile in circumstances that remain mysterious.
