"Cartel Louis XVI"
Cartel of Louis XVI period, in bronze finely chiseled and gilded. The damping is decorated with a fire pot, with rings. The cane box is framed by large acanthus leaves in crosses surmounted by garlands of falling flowers. The pellet is adorned with a seed, surmounted by acanthus leaves, supporting the bottom of the case. Enamelled dial, and signed "Jacques Panier in Paris", indicating the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in increments of five in Arabic numerals. The glass of the bezel has a very pronounced curve, proving that it is original. Mechanism also signed "Jacques Basket in Paris", in perfect working condition. Bronze needles pierced, very finely chiseled and gilded. This cartel has preserved its gilding of origin with mercury in 2 shades matt and shiny and browned with agate.
