Antonio Cortes (1827-1908)was a Spanish painter at the Royal Court of Madrid. In France for the 1855 Universal Exhibition, he was known as an excellent country life painter. Close to the « Groupe de Lagny », he was the father of the well known painter Edouard Cortes.
