Minna Wright Citron 1896 Newark (NJ), New York 1991 (NY), painter, printmaker, designer, teacher, writer, conférencier.Elle maintained a studio in the Union Square neighborhood of New York in the 1930s and is associated a group of artists led by Reginald Marsh, known as the 14th Street School. Minna Citron also joined Stanley William Hayter "Atelier 17" after moving to New York during World War II (other members included Chagall, Dali and Lipchitz) and began working in an abstract style, the development of new techniques engraving. After the war, she worked for a time in Paris (retaining his Union Square studio) where she formed a close relationship with the abstract painters Arp, Brancusi, Hartung and DaSilva.
