Baguès House With églomisé Mirrors
The Baguès House with eglomée mirror work.
The bronze-clad obelisk is enhanced by the églomisé glass.
Its decoration features a cartouche on a winged diamond-patterned background set against acanthus leaves, raised by a series of bases.
The base features a stylized heart-shaped motif.
At the top of the shaft is a metal sphere connected by delicate foliage.
The bronze hooks accentuate the discreet brass dome.
The mount is distinguished by a lower baluster featuring a beaded crystal bowl set against a gold pigment background.
This same harmony is found on each arm.
These bronze arms feature a leaf motif framed by a beaded base that finishes off the crystal drops.
The connecting cube, mounted on a keel, joins the central glass disc.
This disc is set against a stylized brown-painted ribbon.
At the bottom, the chiseled cone forms the final dome.
Its decoration features a leaf motif spun from bronze.
Even the central ball includes an inlaid period cube.
An exceptional and rare piece.
