Mixed-media Marine Painting In Oil On Canvas
Oil painting on canvas by the artist Zimarelli of Trieste, signed in the upper right corner. Unlike the artist’s typical works, which are usually smaller in size, this canvas stands out for its large dimensions. The work depicts a seabed with a grouper in the foreground and a school of fish in motion, rendered using vibrant hues. The painting’s unique feature lies in its mixed-media nature; in the lower right corner, three-dimensional natural elements—specifically real seashells and bivalve shells—have been integrated into the painted surface. The work is completed by a period frame.
