Large Art Nouveau Legras Vase With Enameled And Gilded Iris Decor – Circa 1900, Montjoye
Large Art Nouveau vase from the Legras factory, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, circa 1900.
Crafted from emerald green glass with a satin finish, this vase features a baluster shape with a bulging body and a long cylindrical neck.
It is adorned with a floral design of irises, enameled in white, gray, and shades of mauve, accented with touches of gold.
The flowers and their foliage stand out against a rich background of foliage scrolls, arabesques, and plant motifs finely executed in gold, in the purest Art Nouveau spirit.
A fine example of French artistic glassware from the Belle Époque, reflecting the taste for Japanese-inspired floral compositions that were very much in vogue at the time.
Height: 26.5 cm.
