Fish-decorated Salad Bowl _ Wedgwood _ 19th Century

Circular salad bowl with a matching pair of serving utensils, "Neptune" model, crafted from fine earthenware in the Majolica style with silver-plated metal mounts. Victorian era, late 19th century.

• The salad bowl: features a bulbous body decorated with a polychrome motif of seaweed and seashells against a cream-colored background; the rim is encircled by its original silver-plated metal mount. It rests on a tripod base formed by three relief-molded fish in shades of orange. Marked on the underside: impressed "WEDGWOOD," the inscription "NEPTUNE DÉPOSÉ," and the pattern number "c 2634."

• The serving utensils: a silver-plated spoon and fork, with earthenware handles sculpted into the form of stylized fish—perfectly complementing the bowl.

Condition: In good overall condition; exhibits fine craquelure in the glaze and minor wear to the silver plating consistent with use.
