Drawing By André Hambourg: Miniature Landscape Of Venice, Signed Sketch From A Sketchbook
Artist: André Hambourg
Hello, everyone,
A superb little original miniature drawing by André Hambourg, likely taken from one of his famous travel journals, featuring an appliqué montage in the “China” style (a technique involving cutting out a miniature drawing and applying it to a mounting board, used notably by the Galerie Drouant during exhibitions dedicated to André Hambourg). Mixed media: India ink, felt-tip pen, and pencil; a landscape of Venice from the 1950s–1960s. Very good condition, beautiful original frame by Paul Anquetin (label on the reverse), drawing dimensions 10.7 cm x 2.8 cm, total dimensions with frame 18.5 cm x 15 cm, signed lower left with the initials “a. h.”
