Beach Scene In Arcachon, Thiers Pier, Oil On Canvas, C. 1880, Figures, Pinasse Boats,
Oil on canvas depicting a beach scene in Arcachon; a work from the late 19th century and an interesting glimpse into life in the seaside town at that time. The painting features elegant ladies, fishermen, beach tents, and the Thiers Pier in the background. This work, with some naive details, may evoke the style and approach of the painter Bopp Dupont, a famous artist from Arcachon.
This charming painting is on its original canvas and has undergone restoration (a small patch at the bottom of the work).
