English-style Mahogany And Mahogany-veneered Bookcase

An elegant mahogany and mahogany-veneer secretary-bookcase, embellished with decorative moldings. The upper section opens with two glass doors featuring cross-paned glass and houses three shelves, beneath a molded cornice with denticles.

The lower section features a drop-down panel revealing a gilded leather writing surface, several compartments, two side drawers, and a central compartment with a sliding curtain. Four large drawers complete the piece, which rests on carved legs.

Beautiful antique patina and signs of wear, particularly on the leather and the base.
