Lalique France – Set Of 6 Crystal Glasses, Highlands Model – Marc Lalique, 1952
A set of six large clear crystal whiskey glasses by Lalique France, “Highlands” model, designed in 1952 by Marc Lalique (1900–1977).
Marc Lalique, son of René Lalique, took over the family business after his father’s death in 1945. He then expanded production of crystal, gradually phasing out glass in favor of this material, whose transparency and brilliance allowed the company to renew its designs.
The “Highlands” model exemplifies this evolution, combining clean lines with intricate decorative crystal work on its lower section.
Each glass bears the engraved signature “Lalique France” on the base.
