Terracotta Statue Of A Han Court Lady (206 B.c. To 220 A.d.)
This terracotta statue dates from the Han Dynasty (206 B.C. to 220 A.D.) and depicts a court lady in traditional attire. The polychrome paint is original.
The Han Dynasty ruled China from 206 B.C. to 220 A.D. Founded by Liu Bang, a warlord of peasant origin who rebelled against the Qin Dynasty, it had twenty-eight emperors. The Han Dynasty’s reign of more than four centuries is generally considered one of the “golden ages” of Chinese history.
Regarding the condition, please note that the statue consists of two pieces; we note signs of wear due to age and small chips in places. The statue remains presentable, however, though not perfect.
Please take a close look at the photos, which are an integral part of the description.
