18th-century Oak Capital (2 Pieces)
Solid oak capitals (set of 2) dating from the late 18th century, crafted in a richly decorated classical style.
The capital displays influences from both the Ionic and Corinthian orders, featuring large volutes, floral rosettes, and stylized acanthus leaves. In the center is a floral motif, surrounded by symmetrically arranged carvings.
The pieces are covered in an old cream-colored paint finish, showing visible signs of wear and, in places, exposed wood. Originally, they were likely part of an architectural column or pilaster.
This is a set of 2 identical capitals.
Dimensions: 34H x 38L x 38P
