Art Nouveau-style Side Table
Art Nouveau-style side table
Carved wooden base adorned with motifs and resin tabletops
The design combines a large upper tabletop with a smaller lower shelf, connected by curved crossbars that ensure the structure’s sturdiness while maintaining a fluid aesthetic.
This is a variation on the famous Hawthorn table, originally designed by Louis Majorelle.
The openwork corbels and hand-carved supports beneath the top shelf are shaped to resemble organic, plant-inspired tendrils that blend harmoniously into the supporting structure.
The glossy resin inlays, with their liquid swirls, mimic the organic texture of tortoiseshell or molten amber.
The frame draws heavily on the style of the École de Nancy, featuring four sinuous legs with organic curves that extend to support the upper rim.
58 cm in diameter at the top
40 cm in diameter at the bottom
76 cm in height
In excellent vintage condition
