The fixed, oval-shaped tabletop features beautiful natural grain and is finished with a molded edge that accentuates its profile. Beneath the top runs a wide, smooth band that gives the table a clean and harmonious appearance.
The table rests on a sturdy central shaft—a carved column—that flares out into a four-legged base with volutes richly carved by hand. The sinuous curves of the legs are embellished with carvings of leaf and floral motifs, typical of the finest French cabinetmaking of the Louis-Philippe era.
