An elegant antique box from the Napoleon III period (19th century), ideal as a glove box or jewelry box. The exterior is made of wood covered in leather, richly adorned with corner fittings and decorative hinges in chiseled brass featuring a fleur-de-lis motif.
The interior reveals its magnificent original burgundy silk upholstery.
Condition: Authentic piece showing signs of wear and normal scuffing on the leather (particularly along the edges), as well as subtle age spots on the silk. The box is sold with its original key, but the lock mechanism needs to be serviced (it is stuck or seized)."
