Chinese Cabinet Made Of Black-lacquered Wood With Polychrome Decoration, 20th Century

A superb Chinese cabinet made of black lacquered wood, richly decorated with figurative scenes depicting figures in traditional Chinese landscapes.

The front features a particularly refined decoration of figures, pavilions, mountains, and plants, enhanced by polychrome colors and gilded details. The whole is framed by geometric friezes and ornamental motifs, with beautiful gilded metal hardware.

The cabinet opens with several doors to reveal an interior entirely lacquered in black, featuring two shelves that provide ample storage space. The decorative motifs continue on the interior surfaces of the doors as well.

The piece rests on an elegant, curved base, itself richly decorated with Chinese-inspired motifs.

A particularly decorative piece with an exotic and refined character, ideal for a classic, eclectic, or contemporary interior.
