Large Lamp Base Made Of Red-lacquered Wood And Brass – 1970s

A stunning, large, monolithic lamp base from the 20th century (circa 1970).

This lamp base stands out for its rectangular wooden base covered in a beautiful bright red lacquer, characteristic of the style and design of the 1970s. The base is adorned on its sides with stylized dark filigree motifs (Asian symbols and medallions discreetly integrated into the lacquer).

The central brass stem supports a two-light fixture (with angled sockets) topped by a threaded rod with a ring for attaching a lampshade.
