During the Art Deco period, Galeries Lafayette commissioned a series of vases from the Boch Kéramis factory in La Louvière, Belgium. Maurice Dufrène was the artistic director of the Galeries Lafayette studios.He returned in 1920; he was one of the great French designers, transitioning from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. The vase bears the decoration number D703 as well as the form number 901. Thanks to the decoration number, the vase can be dated to 1922.
