Reclining bronze panther with a brown patina tinged with bronze-green, set on a molded oval pedestal; a famous work by the artist, created in 1838.
Cast in the Barye workshop.
The cast is of very fine quality and exquisite detail, as you can see in the photos.
Dated between 1838, the year of the first edition, and 1850.
Signed “BARYE” on the front of the base.
