Daum Nancy – Rare “crow In The Snow” Vase – Circa 1900
A rare quadrangular vase in multilayered glass by Daum Nancy, circa 1900–1905, featuring a continuous band of winter landscape decoration animated by numerous crows, perched on branches or in flight.
The design extends across all four sides, depicting bare, snow-covered trees in a rolling landscape, rendered in delicate shades of sky blue, lemon yellow, and white, accented with black highlights. The acid-etching, enamel overglaze, and textural effects lend the piece remarkable depth.
A particularly refined and sophisticated composition, characteristic of Daum Nancy’s most original works from around 1900.
