Pair Of Empire-style Porcelain Planters
Pair of Empire-period planters made of Paris porcelain. Cylindrical in shape and resting on a slight foot, these planters are adorned with a continuous pattern of cascading flowers. The entire circumference is covered with hand-painted designs; the bouquets feature a wide variety of flowers (the two planters do not share the same design). Gilding enhances the floral compositions. They feature side handles shaped like lion’s paws. Both are hand-signed by the decorator.
