Nantes. Oil On Panel. Alexis Louis De Broca.
Artist: Louis Alexis De Broca .1868-1948
View showing Feydeau Island, probably taken from the area near the Transbordeur Bridge—now Place de la Petite Hollande— the painting may have been created from the gondola of the Pont Transbordeur during the winter of 1932, when an intense cold spell gripped the region in February.
In the center of the vanishing point, one can see the fish market; behind it, on the left, is the Hôtel Grou, and on the right, the Hôtel de la Villestreux.
And on the left is the Gare de la Bourse, where a locomotive is visible.
The work is painted on a mahogany panel and is signed “A de Broca 1932” in the lower right corner.
In its original oval frame.
Payment by bank transfer.
