Exceptional and Exquisite Louis XV-Period Stamped Leonard BOUDIN Commode Sauteuse, inlaid with rosewood, , amaranth, and satinwood within frames of precious woods, resting on curved legs ending in gilded bronze cleats.
This chest, curved on all sides and featuring two rows of drawers at the front, is topped with a superb Breche marble top, molded and scalloped to follow the curves of the chest. Its ornate side panels are embellished with bronze finials. Beautiful and rich gilded and chiseled bronze ornamentation, including spurs, drawer pulls, lock plates, lamp bases, and finials. Remarkable geometric marquetry work featuring cubes in perspective. Beautiful finish, buffed varnish. It comes with its keys; the locks are in working order. It is stamped “L. BOUDIN” on one of its side panels.
