Pair Of Brass Bookends Featuring Openwork Terrestrial Globes. French Work. Circa 1970
Each bookend consists of a solid patinated brass bracket with an overhanging plinth, on which is mounted a terrestrial globe: the continents, treated in solid relief, stand out against the finely pierced network of parallels and meridians, the whole pivoting within a meridian arc ending in brass balls, in the manner of library globes.
