Napoleon III-style Bronze And Onyx Oil Lamp
An elegant oil lamp from the second half of the 19th century, the Napoleon III period, crafted from finely chiseled bronze and onyx.
The quadrangular onyx body features magnificent natural veining in shades of pale green, cream, and ochre, embellished on each side with bronze decorations in neoclassical motifs, notably ancient figures and foliage ornaments.
The richly worked bronze mount is adorned with friezes of leaves, palmettes, and plant motifs, complete with its original kerosene burner and chimney glass
