Pair Of Side Tables, 19th Century
A pair of 19th-century window-between consoles, made of wood painted to imitate white marble. Slender and architecturally styled, each features a black marble top resting on two legs adorned with volutes and neoclassically inspired carved motifs. A mirror is set between the two legs. These consoles were designed to be placed on the mullions between two windows to reflect light and visually enlarge the space.
