Albert Lebourg (1849–1928) was a French Impressionist painter, a student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, and a close associate of Claude Monet. Known for his luminous landscapes and studies of nature, he regularly exhibited alongside the great Impressionists, and his works are featured in numerous French museums.

This pencil study with brown and red highlights, dated to the late 19th–early 20th century, depicts a landscape with trees in a simple and spontaneous composition.
