The form features a wide, flared rim resting on a goblet-shaped body connected to the base by sturdy handles set low and curving upward. The artifact rests on a molded, black-lacquered disc-shaped foot.
The main register depicts a complex mythological scene; at the center stands a majestic, bearded male deity, richly draped in an embroidered himation and holding a scepter. The figure is surrounded by a procession of standing figures making offerings. On the opposite side, however, is a grape harvest scene featuring Dionysus and those making offerings.
