Wrought-iron Bar Decorated With Grape Clusters

An elegant wrought-iron bar dating from the mid-20th century, with a particularly distinctive decorative and artisanal character. Tall and slender in shape, it features a frame made entirely of wrought iron, embellished with numerous decorative elements evoking the world of wine.

The piece is richly adorned with wrought-iron grape clusters and vine leaves, arranged primarily on the upper section and around the frame. The upper section, topped by an elegant arched frame forming a sort of small cage or arbor, is designed for storing and displaying bar accessories: decanters, bottles, and glasses. Hooks are also provided to hang stemmed glasses by their stems beneath the upper section.

The middle section features a shelf for holding carafes, glasses, and serving accessories. Notably, there are storage spaces tailored to accommodate various types of glassware.

In its lower section, the cabinet is specially designed for storing wine bottles, with several compartments built into the structure. These spaces are protected by a small wrought-iron door, enhancing both its functionality and decorative appeal.

The unit rests on ornate wrought-iron legs, with an openwork design that lends the piece a certain lightness despite its size. The vine motifs, the curves of the metal, and the ironwork give it an aesthetic typical of decorative furniture from the first half to the middle of the 20th century, particularly well-suited for a wine cellar, a dining room, a collector’s home, or a space dedicated to wine tasting.
