The figure displays the classic elements of the Sukhothai style, characterized by an oval, serene face, prominent buns with tightly curled hair, elongated earlobes, and a flame-shaped ushnisha rising from the crown of the head to symbolize supreme spiritual wisdom.
The right hand extends toward the ground above the knee, symbolizing the moment of enlightenment when the Buddha called upon the Earth Goddess to bear witness to his spiritual triumph over the temptations of the demon Mara. His left hand rests flat on his knees, palm facing upward, in a meditative posture.
