Late 17th-early 18th Century Painted Sideboard With Coats Of Arms

Refined and unique sideboard crafted from finely carved wood and painted in lean tempera, featuring shades of white and sage green. The piece is distinguished by slightly canted corners, bracket feet typical of the period, and a serpentine top. Its exceptional elegance is highlighted by the painted decoration, with geometric motifs adorn the top and sides, while the front displays two noble coats of arms featuring heraldic lions. The cabinet is fitted with two doors, opened via a lost-wax cast bronze key, revealing two practical shelves ideal for storage. This sideboard is a piece of great taste and sophistication, capable of adding a touch of class and historic charm to any interior. Marche region (Papal States) manufacture, from the Louis XIV period, around the end of the 17th to the early 18th century.
