Medal for protection against the plague, Northern Italy. 17th or 18th century, solid silver, unhallmarked.
Hypothesis:
Based on the figures depicted, I attribute this medal to the city of Venice.
On one side are St. Roch, St. Sebastian, and likely St. Charles Borromeo.
On the other side, St. Mark the Apostle, and perhaps the Madonna della Salute and a Venetian bishop—either St. Lawrence Giustiniani or St. Magne.
