Vintage Brass Corkscrew - Old-fashioned Key Shape "in Vino Veritas" (1950s–1970s)
Vintage bar corkscrew dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950–1970), likely made in Italy or Germany.
This collectible item, shaped like an ornamental skeleton key, is made of solid brass (or bronze). It features superb relief decorations depicting grape clusters and vine leaves, as well as the famous Latin maxim engraved on it: "In Vino Veritas" (In wine, there is truth).
Dual function: The upper ring serves as a bottle opener. The handle unscrews to reveal a corkscrew spiral integrated inside. Condition: Beautiful vintage condition with a superb natural verdigris patina that attests to its authenticity and age (see photos). The threads and corkscrew spiral are functional.
