Design by Luc Lanel* for the ocean liner Normandie. Circa 1930.
Minor scratches from use; silver plating in good condition except for a strip at the bottom of the bucket.
Note a very small dent on the side of the base.

*Luc Lanel (1893–1966), worked with architect Jean-Charles Moreux and with Leleu; from 1922 to 1942, he served as artistic director at Christofle, where he created numerous designs, including the silverware line that furnished the legendary ocean liner Normandie.
The “Ondulations” motif was originally created for the first-class dining room and the Grand Bar of the famous ocean liner S.S. Normandie, a masterpiece of Art Deco design.
