Meissen Porcelain Chandelier, 1868

A Meissen porcelain chandelier with twelve light arms, arranged on two levels: eight on the bottom and four on the top. This piece is a later version produced in 1868.
The original was created in the 18th century by Johann Joachim Kändler (June 15, 1706–May 18, 1775) for the Neues Palais in Potsdam.
A chandelier of exceptional craftsmanship, created during the second Rococo period at the Meissen manufactory.
Flowers, refined and colorful; birds; foliage; muses; and clusters of bouquets—all rendered in great detail.
This chandelier is a marvel of porcelain art.
