A set of 35 knives by silversmith Jules Piault (Paris) from the late 19th century.
The ferrules and pommels are decorated with mascarons.
The handles are made of ebony.
The set consists of the following:
- 12 table knives with steel blades and ebony handles; the ferrules and pommels are silver
- 12 small knives with silver blades bearing “Minerve” hallmarks of the 1st standard; ebony handles; the ferrules and pommels are silver.
- 11 small knives with steel blades, ebony handles, and silver ferrules and pommels.
