Small Antique Bottle Attributed To Baccarat, 1880–1910, Made Of Lightweight Crystal With A Floral Design

The vegetal décor is acid‑etched, with floral and foliate motifs typical of Baccarat’s production between 1880 and 1910.

This piece is just attributed to Baccarat because it is not published in the digitized catalogues (1916 catalogue), yet it is perfectly consistent with Baccarat’s late‑19th‑century acid‑etched vegetal designs.

None of the Baccarat models produced between 1880 and 1910 with vegetal décor on cristal léger are published in the known commercial catalogues. They are documented only in the Baccarat Archives and in the collections of the Bibliothèque des Arts Décoratifs, where the crystal works’ internal catalogues are preserved.

The 1916 catalogue, the only fully digitized one, presents only cut crystal carafes: no acid‑etched models appear in it.

The catalogues from 1900 to 1930 show some services with vegetal décor, but not this specific model, which belongs to a less standardized production.

The bottle shows no chips, but the body is opacified on the inside.
