Art Deco Silver Brooch, France, Early 20th Century
Art Deco-style silver brooch depicting a mustachioed cat standing upright, resting on its stylized, openwork paws and tail, adorned with rows of sparkling studs. Its long neck is adorned with a bow tie. The eyes, wide open, are set with green cabochons.
Work from the early 20th century.
Silver, at least 800/1000. Boar’s head hallmark.
Silversmith’s mark present but difficult to read.
