Sculptural Metal Lamp, 1960s–70s

This table lamp embodies the Brutalist and Hollywood Regency styles of the 1970s.
It consists of a patinated metal structure depicting stylized leaves (resembling water lilies or lotus leaves) mounted on a ceramic or stoneware base with a textured patina in the shape of a pot.

The light concealed within the base highlights the rich, bronze-brown hues of the patina.

This type of sculptural light fixture, made of cut or hammered metal , is strongly reminiscent of the work of artists and design houses of that era, such as the creations attributed to Henri Fernandez, François Mélin, or the spirit of Maison Jansen. However, many were handcrafted by various European workshops during the 1970s.

Condition: Shows signs of use, but in good condition. Original wiring, functional (currently being checked and improved). One sheet has been re-welded to its stem. Ceramic in very good condition.
