Mechanical tabletop cigarette dispenser in the style of a kiosk or Parisian advertising column, attributed to the German manufacturer Gebrüder Schmidt KG, 1930s–1940s.
Cylindrical metal body covered with period lithographed advertising labels, including illustrations by M. Ponty (such as Gitanes).
The dispensing mechanism features a tombak dome at the top mounted on a sliding central rod; when lifted, the dome unfolds like a corolla to reveal the individual cigarette holders. Weighted circular base.
